A Small, Specialized Practice
Ariel Wallins Therapy Group is an intentionally small psychotherapy practice serving adults in New York and Connecticut. The practice is built around specialized care, strong therapeutic relationships, and treatment that is tailored to the person rather than a diagnosis alone.
OCD and trauma are primary areas of expertise, with broader support for the relationships, transitions, and emotional concerns that often exist alongside them. The aim is to offer focused clinical expertise without losing the warmth, flexibility, and personal attention of a small practice.
How We Work
Therapy here combines evidence-based treatment with curiosity about the whole person. Structured approaches such as ERP or EMDR may be important parts of the work, but they are never the entire conversation.
Treatment is adapted to your goals, history, readiness, and what is happening in your life now. The therapeutic relationship matters too: feeling heard, understood, and able to work collaboratively creates the foundation for more difficult and meaningful work. You can expect a balance of practical strategies, deeper exploration, and gentle directness, with enough flexibility to address what feels most important in a given session.
What Sets the Practice Apart
The practice brings together specialized OCD and trauma treatment with a relational, flexible approach. ERP and EMDR expertise provide a strong clinical foundation, but treatment is not limited to a protocol or a single diagnosis.
You can expect careful listening, warmth, and validation, along with gentle directness when patterns are worth exploring. Practical strategies and deeper insight can coexist. Rather than treating each concern in isolation, therapy considers how anxiety, trauma, relationships, mood, life transitions, and other experiences may affect one another and shape what you are going through now.
Growing With Care
The goal is to grow carefully, not quickly. Ariel Wallins Therapy Group is being developed as a small practice with room for one or two additional clinicians who share a commitment to high-quality, collaborative care. Future clinicians may bring different strengths and specialties, allowing the practice to expand while keeping the personal, individualized feel that defines the work.
